The Baker Chalet - Guest Rental Agreement

Guest(s)/Cardholder(s) must be a minimum age of 23 years of age.
This agreement along with the Snowline Homeowner’s Rules & Regulations, and the “Rental Policies” of Mount Baker Luxury Rentals serve as the complete agreement.

Cancellation/Reservation Policy:
A deposit equaling one night’s stay plus taxes is due to confirm a reservation. At the time the reservation is made, guest/cardholder is required to give an accurate number of guests. All reservation monies are due 30 days prior to scheduled arrival date. Cancellations must be made 30 days or more prior to the scheduled booking arrival date. The deposit is non-refundable. Any cancellation made after 30 days prior to the scheduled booking arrival date is non refundable forfeiting the total amount owed, unless the property can be re-rented, in which case the full amount would be re-funded minus a $50.00 cancellation fee.

Reservations booked December 15th through January 4th, must be paid in full by December 1st. No cancellation monies will be refunded after December 1st unless the property is re-rented. We strongly suggest you to purchase Trip Cancellation Protection. Homeaway offers this. Visit the following link:

Management reserves the right to cancel any reservation; which would result in a full refund to the guest/cardholder.

Check-In/Check-Out Procedures:
1.) CHECK-IN TIME IS AFTER 4 P.M. AND CHECK-OUT IS 11 A.M. SHARP. NO early check-ins unless otherwise permitted previous to check in. Guests will receive a rental package with one gate access card, house keys, and community trash compactor key, as well as special instructions & directions. Before check-out, the guests/cardholder(s) are responsible to complete the following housekeeping measures: 1) Start a load of laundry 2) Bring all dirty towels/linens to laundry area, and start one load of towels in the washer before leaving. 3) All dirty dishes must be rinsed and placed in dishwasher, and the dishwasher must be started. Clean dishes must be put in the location in which they were found.
Any vacation property left unduly cleaned will result in a $40.00 per hour cleaning charge with a one-hour minimum service charge.

2.) All household trash, and or garbage should be placed in refuse containers and should NOT be left outside. Prior to departure, trash bags should be left on kitchen floor for housekeeping to dispose of. Avoid leakage by double wrapping each trash bag with a second trash bag. (Note: A trash key will be provided so guests can dump refuse in Snowline Community dumpster as they need. Also, charges will be incurred if an excessive amount of trash is left.) At CHECK-OUT, the VACATION PROPERTY MUST BE LOCKED AND ALL KEYS AND GATE ACCESS CARDS are to be left in the provided lock box which is clearly labeled at entry door. Any keys not left in the specified location, will cause the cardholder(s) to be charged up to a $150.00 fee for cards/keys that are lost or not returned.

Security/Damages Agreement
1) All damages done to vacation property including, but not limited to a) damage done to furnishings, appliances, structures, or surrounding areas b) the removal of any Homeowner personal property items. The cardholder(s)/Guest(s) will be held responsible for any damages or missing items.
DAMAGE/RESERVATION DEPOSIT - A reservation deposit of $250 is required for groups of 9 or less; $500 is required for groups of 10 or more. This must be received (30) days prior to your reserved dates. The deposit automatically converts to a security/damage deposit upon arrival. The deposit is NOT applied toward rent; however, it is fully refundable within (7) days of departure, provided the provisions of this agreement are met.

2) Guests are required to leave the vacation property on the date scheduled for departure by 11:00 a.m. Any guest(s) who do not leave the vacation property by 11:00 a.m. will incur a fee on the cardholder(s) credit card of one night’s stay.

3) Guests are required to comply with the Snowline Community Homeowner’s Association Rules and Regulations (a copy is located in vacation properties). If guests fail to adhere to these rules and regulations, the cardholder will be held responsible to pay any fines charged to the Homeowner. NOTE: If the front community drive through gates are damaged by misuse (i.e. two cars entering at a time), there will be a fine of up to $300.00 incurred by Snowline Community Club, this will be the responsibility of the guest to pay and will be charged to the credit card and or collected from the security deposit.

4) Homeowner’s will not be held responsible for guest’s personal property.

Use at Your Own Risk
1.) All of the vacation properties are privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The guests use the premises and or their facilities at their own risk. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongs or valuables of the guest. In addition, the following problems will not be cause for a refund of any rental money: a) Problematic road/weather conditions b) breakdown of DVD players, hot tubs, or other recreational equipment c) power outages d) construction work in the area. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.

Smoking:
1.) Smoking is not allowed within any vacation rental property. Guests may smoke outside of the properties, but they are responsible for disposing of any cigarette/cigar related remnants in the proper provided receptacles. Any cigarette/cigar related remnants left on the ground may incur extra cleaning fees.

Maximum Occupancy Limits
1) Occupancy limits are clearly specified for each vacation rental. Compliance with these limits is compulsory. Breaking occupancy limits will result in a loss of guest’s stay. Guests will be removed and reservation money will not be refunded.

Pets
1) Pets are permitted in vacation properties only with prior approval. A maximum of two domesticated pets are allowed, and a $20 per night per pet fee applies. All pets must be leashed at all times. Pet owners are responsible for the cleaning up of any/all pet refuse. Pets are not allowed on any furniture at any time including but not limited to couches, chairs, beds, and tables. In addition, pets are not allowed in bedrooms. Any evidence of pets on furniture or property damage due to pets may incur extra cleaning or repair fees.
